Customers purchasing a dress from The Vintage Wedding Dress Company will be required to sign a Sales Agreement. This is to ensure that customers are 100% happy with the garment which they are committing to buy. This policy is due to the vintage nature of the merchandise which we are selling and is in place to protect both the consumer and the company.

If you chose to buy a beautiful vintage wedding dress from us, we will have repaired and cleaned your dress to the highest standard possible. However with all vintage and collectable pieces some small flaws may remain.

You will be asked to inspect your dress fully before you leave the premises. All dresses are sold as seen and we hold no further responsibility for damage or cleaning once you have signed your Sales Agreement.

Please note that we do not offer refunds and we do not re-sell dresses on behalf of clients should you change your mind.

We are keen to make clear that we are not dress historians by trade. We work from the information that is provided to us by our sources. We buy all our dresses in good faith from reputable vintage dealers from around the world. Our collection brings together a wide range of eras and styles.

Please note that if you choose to have your alterations done at somewhere other than our recommended alteration studio or you do not wish to travel to London for fittings, we will not be liable for any problems which may arise.

If you leave a deposit on a dress and would like to try on your dress for a second time, you will need a half hour appointment slot with us on or before your balance due date. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to book a second appointment with us as soon as you can, to ensure availability. Your balance must be paid by your pre-agreed balance due date. If we do not hear from you and your balance payment has not been made, the deposit will no longer be applicable and your dress will be put back out for sale.

Please note that all deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

The easiest way to pay your balance with us is by credit card when you come in to sign off your dress. We do not accept cash or cheques. However, we do accept card payments made over the phone.
